In 4th-grade, I set out to beat Brick, the 5th-grade genius, in the “Race to 6,000 Pages.” I read a new Little House on the Prairie book every night, and with the help from the girls of the Babysitter’s Club, I won. Mrs. Horner and I went to Del Taco for lunch. I ordered a half-pound bean and cheese burrito, no sauce or onions, and a plain cheese quesadilla, no sauce.
Twelve years later, I’m still reading, now writing, and I continue to enjoy nerdy competitions.
And I still eat Del Taco. Now with sauce, sometimes onions.

I really enjoy your blog. I’m currently living in Budapest, and you have been to some of the places I plan on going before heading back to the U.S. Thanks for the travel tips!

It’s my first time using a backpack for travel. Do you find it better to fold or roll clothes? Have you done some kind of analysis for which gives you more space?

I never heard that story about you in fourth grade. I wish I’d known back when I was your teacher in fifth grade. Maybe I would have done a similar contest! I love shakes and fries from Del Taco.
