Why We’re Here

In 4th-grade, I set out to beat Brick, the 5th-grade genius, in the “Race to 6,000 Pages.” I read a new Little House on the Prairie book every night, and with the help from the girls of the Babysitter’s Club, I won. Mrs. Horner and I went to Del Taco for lunch. I ordered a half-pound bean and cheese burrito, no sauce or onions, and a plain cheese quesadilla, no sauce.

Twelve years later, I’m still reading, now writing, and I continue to enjoy nerdy competitions.

And I still eat Del Taco. Now with sauce, sometimes onions.

  1. I really enjoy your blog. I’m currently living in Budapest, and you have been to some of the places I plan on going before heading back to the U.S. Thanks for the travel tips!

  2. Hopefully you will leave us tips on Bali, Indonesia’s panorama and else..
    really enjoy discovering this..

  3. It’s my first time using a backpack for travel. Do you find it better to fold or roll clothes? Have you done some kind of analysis for which gives you more space?

  4. I love reading about your travels and wish I was able to do the same. Maybe someday! I awarded you The Versatile Blogger Award! http://askepticaloptimist.wordpress.com/2011/12/20/versatile-blogger-award/

  5. I never heard that story about you in fourth grade. I wish I’d known back when I was your teacher in fifth grade. Maybe I would have done a similar contest! I love shakes and fries from Del Taco. :-)

  6. I visited multiple web sites except the audio quality for audio songs
present at this web page is actually excellent.
